About the course

Leadership in the accounting profession is evolving fast. AI, technology, shifting workforce expectations and complex ethical questions are reshaping what it takes to lead effectively. Technical knowledge alone isn’t enough – today’s leaders need to adapt, communicate and model new behaviours to stay relevant.

This course explores what effective leadership looks like in today’s accounting world. It covers four key themes: ethical leadership, technology, people, and learning. You’ll look at how to apply ethical principles and professional scepticism in leadership decisions, understand and respond to technology’s opportunities and threats without needing to be a tech expert, build stronger relationships with and between your people, and develop your own and your team’s skills to stay ahead in a changing profession.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a clearer view of the leadership mindset and skills accountants need now and in the future, and a practical foundation for leading with confidence, adaptability and integrity.
